Windows 10 Phone Companion Walkthrough

In this article we are going to show you a review of the Phone Companion app in Windows 10.

Phone Companion have been a part of Windows 10 already for few builds. Many users wasn’t able to use it because of a lot crashes, but if you update the app it can become very useful for you and absolutely working.

So let’s begin.

Open Phone Companion from your Apps in Start menu. Choose your phone to get started (Windows, Android, iPhone or iPad). If you have Windows phone you don’t need to do anything – your Windows 10 will do everything by itself and all Apps will be able for you.

But if you have another one – Android or iPhone – you’ll see that some of the options are unavailable (for example Cortana). If you want to setup some of the apps – click on it.

Then you need email yourself a link to the App or go to the App itself on the Google Play store or iTunes store. Get the app and go ahead.

Then it will tell you to sign into Microsoft account on the device, phone or tablet. Once you check that you signed in to the OneDrive app on your phone or tablet click Next.

You are done! Now you can use this app with your phone. For example, if you will add something to OneNote on your phone or tablet, you will see it appear on your PC.

You can setup Skype and Office using this steps again.

If you want to use Outlook you need to click Get started in it and get the App itself again (actually you can use it to check your Gmail as well). Once you checked that added all your mail accounts to the Outlook app on your phone, click Next and Done next.

Now you can use Outlook to check emails on your phone – you will see all the letters appear in Windows 10 Mail app on your PC.
