Today we are going to show you how to login as administrator in Windows 10 by using built-in administrator account. This account is already on Windows 10, so we are going to change the password to log into it. Let’s get started.
Right click on the Start menu and then run Command Prompt as administrator. If you don’t run it as administrator, most likely it’s not going to work properly. So you need to click Run as administrator and then click on Yes.
It will bring up the command terminal, where we are going to type net users and press Enter.
As you can see, there is built-in administrator account. The next command we are going to use is net user administrator /active:yes. It’s been successfully completed, so now the administrator accounts is active.
Right now we would be able to login to it, but we don’t know the password. So we need to change the password as well. To change the password we are going to type net user Administrator * and press Enter.
Now, when you are typing in the password, it won’t show up, but it’s been entered. Type the password and press Enter. And then you need to retype it again and press Enter. We have changed the password of the administrator account.

We don’t need the command prompt anymore, so close it.
Now you can login as Administrator by using the password you have specified before.
The only problem with the built-in administrator account is the Edge browser doesn’t work for some reason. But you can use another browser, Chrome for example.
That’s all. If you have any questions, feel free to leave the comments in the section below.
