Disable Tab Preview in Internet Explorer

If you are like me you probably have 15+ tabs open all the time. To have a tab preview show at the bottom is usually useless and just takes up real estate. Follow the steps below to disable tab preview in Internet Explorer. Works in IE8, IE9, and IE10.

Disable Tab Preview

Step 1

Go to tools and internet options. You might have to press ALT to see the file menu appear above.

Step 2

Go to tabs (this might vary slightly depending upon IE version)

Step 3

Uncheck “Show previews for individual tabs in the taskbar *”.

Step 4

Restart Internet Explorer for the changes to take effect.
