Boot Straight to the Desktop

With the release of Windows 8.1 you now have the option available to you to boot straight to the desktop instead of Metro. Follow the steps below.

Step 1

Right click on your Taskbar and select “Properties.”

Step 2

Click on the “Navigation” tab and then select “Go to the desktop instead of Start when I sign in.”
